When you’re colormelting and you want to comb/brush the root color to blend it out here are 3 reasons why you must make sure you’re brushing all the way through the ends of the hair and not stopping and taking the brush/comb out of the hair half way:
1️⃣ To avoid any spots: if you touch the root color with the brush there is now color on the bristles. If you don’t keep the brush flowing through from the top to the ends of the hair you risk getting dark spots of color onto the blonde ends from the brush.
2️⃣ To avoid harsh lines: again if using a comb or brush and you are only combing the root color an inch or two down and then taking the comb out of the hair at that point you will end up with a line of color right there. Keep the comb flowing all the way down and no lines will be created!
3️⃣ Doing this helps create a seamless blend: they call it ‘blend insurance’. By coming or brushing the root color you are insuring there will be no harsh lines from the application with the tint brush. Everybody wants a beautifully delicious blend from roots to ends for a long lasting color. This is how you start to create that blend.
