Meet Artie - a goofy boy looking for his forever home! @sophie_helm found this sweet guy running across four lanes of traffic near Venice boulevard about a month ago - malnourished, infested with fleas, staff infection on his ears, and not neutered. He was a terrified guy but he let her take him home to a better life. After a week, he earned the nickname Velcro, as he follows her everywhere. Now he has a clean bill of health, neutered, back to his proper weight, microchipped and ready for his forever home! He is leash trained, non-reactive on walks, house trained, crate trained, sits for treats, and loves all chew toys. He is picking up very quickly on new commands, so this guy will be a breeze in any house that wants to take his training above and beyond. He is a shepherd mix, about 45 lbs, and the vet says he is approximately 3 years old. We think he would benefit from being the only dog in a home that can give him all the cuddles to help him open up even more. It’s hard not to fall in love with his goofy energy and smile!
