in my debut for @thecut, i unpack the cultural shift toward a "colonizercore" mentality through the cottagecore lens, and how BIPOC women have been steering countryside aesthetics in a more nuanced direction 🗣 i felt called to write this story after one too many intrusive thoughts about the perception of who is allowed to take up space in this space and am so grateful that @joannanikasnyc provided me with a platform to explore that further.
