Here are the top three things that cleared up my acne. Accutane was HIGHLY effective, but the extremely dry skin, cracked lips, hair loss, vision problems and gut issues forced me to stop. Birth control was very effective as well for clearing up my skin, but I was so depressed while on the medication. I also gained a solid 15lbs. Lastly, a niacinamide-based sunscreen that my aesthetician suggested worked really well for me without any terrible side effects.
