Manel Loureiro _ Last Friday I was exhausted from an entire week of "new" teacher onboarding and beginning to prepare my new classroom. All I wanted to do after work was grab some food and crash. Instead I was prompted to get out with my camera and photograph the stormy skies and sunset. I was driving aimlessly until a place popped into my brain, Folsom Point, a prairie preserve in the Loess Hills south of Council Bluffs. The Lord knew what He was doing when he led me to go there. Rainbows help me remember where my hope comes from and He knew I needed to see this beautiful rainbow among the prairie grasses and wildflowers. I am beginning my 22nd year of teaching tomorrow in a new district which means a new school, new principal, new coworkers and new students. Starting over has been a tad overwhelming but at the main school I will be teaching at, part of our vision is that students will be HOPEFUL and man that struck a chord with me. It's been a minute since I've had real hope about teaching. I am HOPEFUL that I am where I need to be and that this school year is going to be amazing.
