THIS is the day that changed everything. ⁠ ⁠ October 13th, 2012⁠ ⁠ Last night, Meg and I sat down in our living room, feeling the warmth of our cozy wood-burning fire, and flipped through the pages of our wedding album.⁠ ⁠ We told our 3-year-old Ryder, while his 16-month-old sister Selah bopped around us, that today was very special for "momma and dadda." ⁠ ⁠ Ten years ago was an event that marked the beginning of a great journey ahead.⁠ ⁠ Meg and I originally met on a study abroad trip in Greece with our university. The second picture here is the first picture we took together. Little did we know, it would be the first of thousands to come.⁠ ⁠ We got engaged the following year in Torrey Pines San Diego and married in Orange County. The next few years involved a LOT of travel, mostly to France and where we hosted our first marriage retreat in 2018 @sustainretreat⁠ ⁠ We had our son in 2019, moved from San Diego to Franklin, TN in 2020, and had our daughter in 2021. Life could not be more full as it feels right now. Both in our hearts and in our schedules 😊⁠ ⁠ The last ten years have felt like SUCH a journey. We've experienced our greatest joys and deepest pains. Traveled to incredible destinations and hit complete dead ends. Made each other belly laugh and feel disappointed. ⁠ ⁠ We've learned a lot about one another and about ourselves. We're experts on our inner wounds and love to celebrate whenever possible. ⁠ ⁠ Meg is both beauty and strength. She has a well of resilience within her that never seems to run dry. And a beauty that I admire and adore.⁠ ⁠ I couldn't be more grateful for the last decade of choosing Megan Richardson and can't believe we're only getting started.
