I’m big on raising my daughters with positive affirmations that build their confidence and self-esteem — an important part of that is making sure the toys they play with are a reflection of their Brown skin. #ad Dylan is now at the age where she loves to collect beautiful Black dolls and it makes me so happy that her idea of “pretty” is exactly what she looks like. The newest member of her doll squad is @AmericanGirlBrand’s new Claudie doll. She’s gorgeous and chocolate and reminds me of a doll my Nana bought me when I was Dylan’s age. But the dopest thing about Claudie is she has a whole wardrobe of options designed by the uber talented @samanthablacknyc in collab with @harlemsfashionrow (peep my stories to see the pieces).
