Remember her? Of course you do, and if you don’t, don’t you dare tell her that. Florence is alive today because 11 months ago we were contacted to help her and came to all of you for support. We didn’t know if we could do it, but this Tribe told us we could. And look at what we made happen together. If we had a dollar for every time we were told to put this dog down, called disgusting for listening to her will to live, or deemed a “reprehensible rescue” by someone who saw a picture and made a snap judgement, we wouldn’t be here today asking for help to get out of the worst financial situation we’ve ever been in. We would have all the monies and Flo would probably be driving that convertible she’s always dreamed of. All jokes aside, we are in a serious cash situation. We owe more money to our vets than we have in the bank. And when you have 200 dogs, the bills don’t stop. We have so many medical dogs that you haven’t met. Dogs with giant tumors, hernias, dogs that need eye removals, leg removals, and life saving surgeries. So many it’s overwhelming and we can’t post them all when we are doing the ground work and kept busy managing their care. First and foremost, our priority is saving them. So today, we are asking for a $5 Friday like never before. For you to spare anything you can for the rescue that makes miracles out of dogs like Flo. Be the reason we can keep going. Donate for Dante, a Malinois puppy who came in last week after being hit by a car and is scheduled for an amputation this Tuesday that we can’t currently afford. Donate for the dog with a broken jaw that we were just sent a picture of accompanied by a text that says “Please don’t let her die.” Every day we wake up knowing we are the only hope for these dogs, and the only thing between life and death.
