This is going to be a two-part NYE recap post because let’s take a moment to appreciate this dress à la Carrie Bradshaw that I got from @rentala.mia and that earned me compliments all night. It was the perfect way to step into the new year, already hitting my goal of honoring my inner child and all her fairy dreams that had been repressed over the years in my effort to prove myself intellectually among other creatives and be respected in male-dominated production environments. Part of my move to Miami has been about rediscovering my feminine side and learning not to care so much if people perceive me as vain or shallow because of it.
