This is a pretty terrible picture of the incredibly beautiful night sky at my parents house in NH. I grew up here, and I never seem to be able to fathom the expanse and the darkness of this place. Living in a major city you simply get used to not seeing the stars. Coming back to this place, reminds me of just how small we as humans really are. It’s a refreshing ego check, not only because the night sky is so purely dark and expansive, but because of the literal extreme elements and conditions that have to be endured and survived here. I used to be resentful that I was raised in a place so far from civilization, but it’s true what they say...” you’ll thank me later”. Because I will forever be grounded and understand my place in this universe. Thanks for listening to my late night ramblings if you made it this far into this diatribe.
