🐾 Please welcome to the HIT Living family, Melrose! Melrose is a 4-5 month old, female Cane Corso. ✨ Many of you may remember Melrose as the found little girl from a few weeks back. Not chipped, no lost puppy posters to be found anywhere, no call ins to the shelter. We have reason to believe Melrose either managed to escape or was left abandoned in this Los Angeles neighborhood. It was clear Melrose had been a part of a backyard breeding case as her tail and ears had been brutally docked by a non-professional. She had infected scabs up and down her legs and her two back pads had deep layers of skin missing. ✨ Thanks to our new friends @themelrosevet, we were able to get her in right away where her wounds were treated, she was given fluids, vaccinated and a flea bath by the amazing team. Due to the top notch care and genuine compassion the entire staff showed to Melrose, we thought it only fitting to name her after the practice. ✨ Melrose has been in a wonderful foster home with a Cane Corso breed experienced foster and has been helping Melrose come into her own. Melrose gets along very well with her foster siblings and is incredibly respectful. She adores to cuddle, is incredibly loyal and wicked smart. She loves to play fetch and with her toys. She is a little nervous around strangers and her foster is working with her on passive urination but she’s getting better every day. ✨ After the long journey Melrose has been on, she is finally available and ready for adoption. Melrose is looking for a breed experienced adopter, as she is going to be a big girl and will need consistency and a gentle heart. Other dogs in the home a plus!
