So many stories about this guy from the tour days. So sad that he is gone. My favourite one is Bells around 1996 Rip Curl gave Davo a wildcard and the event was moved down the coast to this rip bowl right hander. Davo was surfing against @kellyslater in a man on man heat. Kelly was late for his heat by a little bit which was kinda normal but Davo was even later! Both missed the start of the heat the reason why Davo was so late was because he was waxing up a brand new board, Davo paddled out no leg rope and beat Kelly in the heat. Crazy talent RIP Davo. 🙏🙏🙏
