“Drinking a lot of water throughout the day keeps your energy levels up during hard training. Keeping water by your side wherever you are is a good idea. Also, eating healthy foods high in protein after runs like eggs, chicken, turkey, salmon, beans, nuts and greek yogurt helps your body recover. Have breakfast everyday and practice eating what you would have on race day so that your body is used to those foods and you don’t have an upset stomach.”
