It looks like somebody's had a long day! Caregivers at the Jane Goodall Institute's Tchimpounga sanctuary work hard to make sure that the rescued infant chimpanzees in JGI's care learn the key social and behavior skills that they would have learned from their parents in the wild. Lately little Perrine and her friends are learning to open palm nuts, a healthy source of food for chimpanzees. Perrine is a quick learner, even though she hasn't quite mastered the technique yet! When she's not learning new skills, Perrine loves to spend time with her friends - especially her friend Vienna.
