Third babies are wild cards 🃏🥵✨ Check out mamas timeline 12a tightenings woke mama enough to be annoying 7-10min apart able to sleep in between 4a she woke her husband 4:15a He texted the birth team 4:30a intensity grew but still present (her past 2 labors she was very internal verbally) 4:35a transition 2ish contractions 4:37a she felt the fetal ejection reflex + water breaking 4:39a 2 more contractions and she felt baby’s head emerge 4:44a she gave birth to his body, reached down and pulled him up. Her hubby came down the stairs to a surprise (he’d closed the door blowing up the birth pool since one of their older children had woken up) 4:47a FaceTime a smiling @lindseymeehleis 4:50a I walk in to this badass mama and played birth assistant until @kelseybains and @kelseydelaneyoga arrived Birth is so wild 😍 Mama was past 41w, but supported and unrushed. She has meconium in her water, was GBS positive, but was monitored with calm, individualized care. She wasn’t pathologized. She was given support and options. Both her and baby were completely healthy and laughing on the couch moments later.
