My new EP is out today ! 💿 I’m very happy to be able to finally share the whole release with you after dropping ‘Red Sky’ last month. All four tracks are designed for the dancefloor - you may well have heard me and some pals play them out a few times in the last 12 months :) ‘Freefall’ samples voices from the ‘Dreams’ broadcast by Delia Derbyshire and Barry Bermange. Since first hearing the incredibly eerie recording of people from decades ago recounting their dreams I knew I wanted to use them in a track one day. ‘Sinkhole’ emerged from experimenting with two 808 basslines fighting to play at the same time, with some flashes of @nosymblos dub siren that was hooked up in the south Bermondsey studio we shared with @parris.dj from 2018-2020. Finally ‘Around in Circles’ finds some of its inspiration from the Autonomic sound from the late 00s and my earlier Pearson Sound work on labels like Darkestral. I’ve been having fun writing at faster tempos again recently and those at Printworks the other day will have heard us close the set with this one.
