Another look back on the #6hFuji, but this time through the lens of our photographer @mchphotocz! Here are his 6 favorite shots from the weekend, and how he got them done! #Peugeot9X8 #WEC #PioneeringPerformanceAgain ------------------ 1. Pitstop taken from the media centre. We were lucky that the Peugeot box was just below the media centre. I was editing photos during the race, uploading them and while waiting for the upload to finish, the car stopped in the box, so I quickly took the camera and that was it. The perfect moment of a mechanic running towards the car and the light and shadows made it look really cool. ------------------ 2. Shot taken during the Safari. It is taken from the window of the bus that was actually driving on the circuit, while the cars were passing by. You could never get such an angle and movement from anywhere else on the circuit. ------------------ 3. Another one taken close to the end of the race (as #1). You could see it is all about light as it was just getting better and better towards the end of the race. So while I was on the pit lane waiting for the cars to stop I went to the pit wall and wanted to use the light & shadow of the grandstand as the sun was getting down behind it. It was just a perfect opportunity to get the silhouette and highlight the design of the 9X8. I underexposed the photo a lot, so you could only see the lights, the top part of the car that was reflecting the light and obviously the sunset. ------------------ 4. Just before qualifying I went to the “team villa” that was just behind the boxes and went to shoot the drivers while they were getting ready. The light was getting lower, so it just made for a nice backlight. ------------------ 5. Taken from the team villa. The light was quite cool outside, so I stopped, let Loïc to go out of the building first and asked him to look up once he is out there in the sun. ------------------ 6. Compared to other circuits, there are some opportunities for quite clean shots. There is quite a lot of elevation on the circuit that helps to get rid of some fencing that would normally get into the photos and so you can enjoy the green grass and clean lines.
