3 way to avoid bleed marks when foiling 💫 1️⃣ Fold the foil away from you: If the foil slips slightly doing this it gives you a chance to lock the foil up tighter after applying your lightener. 2️⃣ Use a thicker lightener consistency: Depending on the brand thicker doesn’t always mean stronger, there are additives to make a thicker consistency like @trussprofessional 8X powder you mix into the lightener and gives it a slightly thicker consistency (with added protection) so it really stays put without swelling. 3️⃣ Don’t get too close to the edges of the foil with the lightener: Again depending on the company some lightener swells , if you get too close to the edge of the foils the lightener will swell either up or out and create bleed marks.
