I’ve been shooting more with my wide angle (23mm f/1.4 Fujinon) because I want to do a better job of storytelling with my environmental portraiture. I find shooting at this focal length to be pretty challenging, which is probably why I’ve avoided it for so long, but I think I’m really starting to understand how to place things compositionally to make a more compelling image.
