How grateful I am for the final season. The level of trust and space FX gave me is astonishing. They supported me as a star, creator, writer, showrunner, and director. I was able to keep my vision, and make the show that I wanted to make. I am grateful for my beloved crew. My OG crew. My new crew/crews (UK/NoLa/Canada) My staff. POST! My editorial team. My wish list cast—the people who fleshed out these characters, who were an exquisite corpse of reality and fiction, and made them their very own. The people that I have admired for so many years, and I thought— “one day I’m going to put them in a show”. And I got to do that. My writers. The people who tirelessly slogged through all of my stories and generously shared theirs, and we pieced together wonderful details that came to fruition. The critics. The journalists who really took the show in and celebrated its value. And the fans of the show—who rode with me from the jump... who would reach out to others and each tell two friends, and that gathered and snowballed the eyeballs on the show and made the village bigger and brighter.
