Blacktop Memento — Behind the Book. We started working on Blacktop Memento two years ago during the second wave of covid, after months of brainstorming with designers @richardbertetic & @lab.eillenoire we decided to manufacture everything in France to support our local industry & artisans. So we approached the craftsmen at @atelierbulk to help us shape our vision. The great fabric we chose for the cover went through two different 50+ years old @heidelberg_printing_press , one printer for the typos & graphics, and another to heat press the iridescent paper on the front cover. The whole process was fascinating thanks to great humans and true expertise, we couldn't be happier with the final result. Obviously, there's a price to pay for excellence but we felt these 15 years of archives from @kevin.couliau deserved special treatment and we hope you all appreciate the final object and craft as much as we do. This is not just a book, it's an art book that will hopefully stay on your shelves forever.
