💰Capitalism tells us we’re all in competition and the police are referees with guns to make sure we follow game rules we never agreed to. 🐷 Abolition is bigger than getting rid of the referees it’s also not playing the game. That requires me to unlearn their game and learn new skills. Have I built the skills of self reflection? how to be accountable? naming and maintaining my boundaries? Do I believe transformation is enough? Can I check my ego when I want revenge? Can I name my feelings without relying on power dynamics (listen to me because I’m the parent, etc.)?
