We at Dapper Dan tell fashion cultural stories but sometimes they come together in the most tragical ways. The Emmett Till story depicts a horror in African American history. The genius of Marci Rodgers as the costume designer to capture that moment in the @tillmovie was incredible! A moment in time can never be better defined than what people were wearing. Congratulations @marcirodgers_ ! The Emmett Till story could have been my story if my parents hadn’t left the south. Emmett Till was only 3 years older than me at the time that he was killed. @whoopigoldberg, Chinonye Chukwu, and @danielledeadwyler . These 3 women brought together a story on the power and resiliency of black women. And thank you to @keithabeauchamp for writing an amazing screenplay!
