How would you re-shape your heat strategy to maximise your score? WQS surfer @trustarling has entered and says the one-wave format at the 2022 Australian Open of Surfing should take the heat off. "I've always found it hard to find a back up. The new format with one-wave 20 minute heat will be all about how you handle the pressure of change. You've only got one wave so you've gotta make it count. "I think I'll love the freedom of just having one wave. Hopefully I'll make it through the two qualifier events at Coffs and the Sunshine Coast because I've never surfed at Bondi and I think it will come with a whole new exciting vibe. Crowds who haven't watched a surf event before and a lot of people on the beach. It should be epic.
