On this first Mother’s Day since you transitioned from this world I keep reflecting on how blessed I am that my life started with you ❤️. You held me in your body first and later in your arms; you lifted me up with your lessons about my strength, the importance of service, and the need to fight for equity through your words and through your example. I miss you every day, Mom, but I know how blessed I am that you were mine.
