This past weekend we celebrated our 11th anniversary! The 11th year marriage is traditionally represented by steel, so I looked up some of its properties...
Hardness - ability to withstand friction and abrasion Toughness - ability to absorb energy without fracturing or rupturing
Tensile strength - force required to break the material
Yield strength - force required to start the deformation of the material ..i.e. bending or warping
Elongation - degree to which the material can be stretched or compressed before it breaks Malleability -capability of being shaped
After reading these characteristics, I can confidently say these past 11 years (especially the last 2 lol) have forged a marriage of steel. I'm grateful for my ride-or-die-partner-in-crime in whose crook of arm I so perfectly fit. Linked. Linked for life. Like a strong ass steel chain. However, I know Jesus is the bond that keeps us from breaking. #strength2strength #linked4life #hooked2P
"Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined"
Mark 10:9
“See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc; no weapon forged against you will prevail....."
Isaiah 54:16-17
"Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us. We are pressured in every way but not crushed; we are perplexed but not in despair; we are persecuted but not abandoned; we are struck down but not destroyed"
2 Corinthians 4:7-11
