Click the link in my bio for the full list of products I used for this MCM Kent Coffey Perspecta Gentleman’s Chest Restoration! I bought this one off of @FacebookMarketplace for $100 a few months ago. When I got it, I gave it a wipe down with a vinegar solution & left some baking soda in the drawers which has sat there since. This significantly helped with the odor! I finally got started working on it and here are the steps I took: + scraped off thick varnish with carbide scraper + sanded the top & sides with 120 grit + sanded the drawers with 220 grit using my @SurfPrep_Sanding 3x4 electric ray (use code FURNITUREDR10 for 10% off) & my @HART Tools multi-tool! + sprayed with shellac to seal in any lingering odors + applied 3 coats of wipe on poly, sanding lightly with 220 grit in between + made any repairs/touch ups with my veneer paint kit, then went over those repairs with a lil bit of poly to match the sheen Ta-Da!! I’m keeping this one. I really like the contrast. But good thing is, I can always tone the legs & drawer pulls to match the rest of the dresser in the future if I ever wanted to resell. What do you think?!
