It’s a Blue Whale Summer!! That’s the determination we’ve made based on recent sighings aboard our offshore expeditions. Yesterday’s trip had 10+ feeding Blue Whales, including two pairs of moms and babies. This action was centered between Newport Beach and Catalina Island. The dominate trend of each summer feeding season usually takes a while to fully materialize, but here we are coming into mid July and there’s Blue Whales everywhere and hardly any Humpbacks.
