Circuit bending returns August 9th to the Firehouse Worcester! Transform an old electronic toy or synth into your own homemade alien instrument. All skill levels welcome- great learning experience for beginner DIYers. The workshop has two phases: 2pm Phase 1: expose//explore. Break open your device and probe for secrets and glitches Demo: How to sniff for circuit-bent sounds 4pm Phase 2: build//create. Create a custom control scheme for your circuit-bent device Demo: How to solder & electronics basics Bring a toy! Or any sound producing device- good candidates are kids toys, cheap synths, even alarm clocks. We have some toys to give out you need one! All materials, tools, batteries will be provided.
