Communication is a hard one. None of us know what we are doing. Sometimes we over share, other times we can’t find the words. Some people love to talk, some can’t even stomach the idea of speaking. We are all at different levels dealing with different truths, taking things in from different perspectives. It’s messy. In order to communicate you must listen and in order to listen you must be quiet. The quieter I become the more I hear. The slower I am to react, the more I can respond. It takes time and patience. It’s an effort game. You have to want to understand and be understood. I’ve spent a lot of time communicating with my true self. Not the mind or the personality, but rather the soul. The more I listen the more I know that love is the only way. If communication is not backed by love it will never be received correctly. Today I am grateful for the conversations that went my way, the ones that didn’t & all the ones I never got to have. Knowing & trusting that silence is full of sound. Doors open & they close.
