Last night was incredible 🌋 - spent 12 hours by Meradalir Volcano until it was dark. The crater is now spewing lava up to 200 meters into the air, it was magical to experience this kind of activity for the second year in a row. We had similar lava geysers by Fagradalsfjall Volcano (last year's eruption) at the end of April last year. Excited to see watch the new volcano grow and document its different phrases in the coming months 🌋 The video was shot on a 400mm lens, so compression makes me appear closer. The camera was on a tripod around 300 meters away from me, and the distance between me and the crater is around 500 meters. 🗓: Shot on August 10th, 2022
