It took me 5 days to build up the courage to post this swimsuit photo of myself. I felt a little insecure to show my body. I kept thinking what others might think about me. Theirs something about posting on social media that feels good but then that happiness only lasts as long as it takes to find another picture to post. We live in this social media engulfed world and because of that we constantly put ourselves through this comparison. It’s funny when you think about it because we compare ourselves to people that we don't even know..... People tend to post when looking their best: best location, clothing, makeup, lighting, angle, filter etc. We live in a world of "likes" and unconsciously we wait for others approval. Our lives revolve around social media, instead of social media just being a small addition to our lives. I personally know it’s not easy navigating through this world as an African woman. And instead of me trying to control the river, I’ve decided to flow with the river instead. To hell what others think about me. I accept myself and I adore my flaws. I’m a Goddess and I know it. We all are! We were brought into this world with purpose. I dare you to dream, I even dare you to go after your dreams ✨.
