Walking into Pride Weekend feeling EXTRA proud this year! Proud of my body for being able to house, support and grow this actual manifestation of all of the best parts of us. Proud of the intention and desire we had to call this baby into my womb. It was difficult and arduous at times but we worked so hard at it and we believed God for this moment and it is sweeter and more special than I could have ever known. At 41. Years. Old. Proud to be here in this space and time with Kiesh, building our revolutionary Queer Black family. I thought she was a marvel before, but my goodness. There are not enough words for the love and support and grounding she has given me. TL;DR: Just know, my baby mama harder than a lot of you niggas. And VERY PROUD of all these pregnancy outfits y’all about to get out of me! WE are pregnant y’all! And I say we, because you all have rooted for me and carried me in ways you didn’t even know, while I figured out how to navigate the fertility process and early pregnancy.
