#NYFW was a blend of hard work, happiness, purpose and grace. - It was one year ago that I went to New York showing up at fashion week asking brands to allow me to walk in their shows. - Not to be self serving but to show women that everyday life can be an opportunity to help others in any capacity we have the courage to pursue. - I have had discouraging days, sleepless nights and uncertainty but that didn’t stop me. - After a doctor told me my percentile chances of survival in 2012, I realized the gift of everyday. I also realized that worrying about others opinions of me was futile and insignificant. - There are too many women who feel judged and shame for being who they are in our society and that is unacceptable. - Now that this is my second season walking at #NYFW, I have seen the impact of what bravery looks like. - Thank you to all of you who have encouraged me along the way. This is only the beginning.
