inna lillahi wa inallah-e-raji'oon • Damn baba... I can’t believe I’m over here typing this out right now wallah. I can’t believe I watched you pass away and laid you to rest today. This was definitely the longest week of my life but I learned so much throughout this whole process. You went through so much the past couple years especially this year but Allah did this all to give you a smooth trip up there to meet tata, cedo, Hatem, & all of our other loved ones inshAllah. My heart is at ease knowing you left in a comfortable way and that you’re out of your pain now. Hearing all these stories that everybody is sharing just reminds me how much of an amazing, selfless, humble & family oriented man you were. The one thing about my dad was he put everybody ahead of him and made sure they were always good. My pops was the first of our family to come to the states, brought the whole fam with him eventually & here we are celebrating your amazing life and the great life you helped create for everyone else. The heart of the family that knew everything about everyone and made sure everyone stayed together through it all. 🤍 • One thing I’ll never forget is when I first started undergrad I was pre-med trying to live up to your life and make you proud you know.. after a year or so I decided it wasn’t for me and looking back I laugh at how scared I was to tell you I wasn’t trying to be a doctor anymore. I pull up to my pops telling him the news about not wanting to be a doctor and his goofy self says ‘I wouldn’t want you to be my doctor anyways.’ 😭😭 man I can’t thank you enough for always supporting my decisions and backing me up through everything in life. You did so much for me and mom I wish you could’ve stayed longer so I could’ve repaid you for everything but alhamdulilah you have a front row seat to my life now & I promise I’ll make you proud and take care of momma forever. ♾ Thank you so much, I love you more than anything & it’s not goodbye it’s see you later inshallah. - Ibin Rebhi 🤍🤲🏼
