~ Aaron Hardwick Efird. 1/12/1954 - 4/3/2022. He treated me as family from the very moment I met him, mere weeks into my relationship with Carson. So passionate and forthright, so genuinely himself always, an undeniable energy in any room. If you met him even just for a moment, you know. And if you saw me on a stage in North Carolina over the past seventeen years, you likely heard his boisterous whistles and whoops. “Aw HELL yeah Hoss, tear it up man!” He willingly shared the benefits of his enthusiasm for home & yard maintenance, (even when I was a little grumpy about pitching in, pre or post-tour) instilled a deep respect and appreciation for the ocean, and showed his heart through unwavering dedication and service to his family.
