I decided to not post this past year. A lot happened and I felt it be best not to. As many of you know, my grandfather passed February 2020 and that completely shook my world. He was the father figure in my life, so suddenly not having his physical presence around anymore... I was understandably not doing well for a while there. But I knew I had to keep doing things to stoke my delight fire, while taking time to feel the way I felt (and still feel— knowing tending to grief is a lifelong process). I had the opportunity to paint my first ever portrait (the gong) and then my first ever large full bust portrait of my grandfather (2nd photo), truly travelled for the first time with one of my best friends to see some of my best friends, built and strengthened relationships with people I love with all of my heart, celebrated my grandfather’s life with so many beautiful people through music, movement, and words, saw and hung out with someone I haven’t seen in a long time who has a special place in my heart, celebrated my birthday with a bunch of people I love (including my out of this world family) and the list goes on. These are only a handful of the moments that stuck out to me from this year... all of which were special because of the people I am so grateful to have in my life. I would not be who I am without the people who love me, who I love. I am filled with love because of you guys. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Excited for a new year with all of you. ❤️
