A month ago, I entered a @united photography contest. I submitted a photo I had saved from my whale shark experience in the Philippines over summer with my good friends @d_mui3 and @romeoroams It was just announced that I was selected as one of the winners to be granted the prize of 1 million United miles for travel and I couldn’t be anymore grateful. Combined with my work/art, I plan on using these miles to travel and highlight how islanders around the world are having a positive impact on the environment. It’s my dream to create a movement for people to see that there are islanders around the world who are doing what they can to make this world more sustainable with the hopes of inspiring others to follow suit. My vision is to become one of the driving forces that gets large corporations and countries to collectively work together to eliminate some of the largest environmental issues that we face by highlighting the efforts of islanders around the world. These miles from @united were just what I needed to kickstart my dream. To start things off, with @findtap , I’m pledging to go 30 days without bottled water to limit my waste contribution in the ocean. I challenge you to do the same and to tag friends who’d like to participate in this #drinkdifferent movement by @findtap I’m extremely excited for what’s in store for this next chapter in my life and I’m also as prepared as ever.
