ICYMI someone asked me if I was pregnant & it sparked a public response from me. I was going to leave it there but today I was catching up with my messages and I saw what seems like hundreds of these in my inbox. I am choosing to put these out there in the world so you can see that you are not alone in your struggles & hopefully so people can be a little more self aware in & take responsibility for their words in seeing the BTS of what comments can do to someone. I am in awe of the vulnerability that we are stepping into in our little corner of the internet. My hope is that we use these opportunities not only to support each other and be there to fight the “big fight” but to look inwards & CHOOSE to uplift and find the value in ourselves our individuality and our bodies. No matter how anyone has ever made you feel in the past KNOW this: you have the RIGHT to choose to fight for a world in which you feel comfortable, but don’t get lost fighting an external battle when the real, most valuable and meaningful victory is negotiating peace, acceptance and stability within yourself.
