Selenium and Caerulum were some of the first items I purchased from RdF, and I’ve looked forward to the yearly release of this formula since. I’d say it’s my favorite formula they offer. I’m especially excited to see green or green sparkles throughout most of these. 😭 In order of swatches and videos: Serpentine (green to blue), Alexandrite (light muted green with purple sparkles), Moonstone (light mauve with blue/purple duochrome sparkles), Fire Opal (peach with green/pink duochrome sparkles) These are entirely different to their other Eye Soot formulas - Gelée Glosses are literally wet glosses, Ash and Ember are satin eyeshadows. I enjoy those formulas too, but they’re just different! The simplest way I can think to describe these is as somewhat creamy, flaky and sparkly, pressed shimmers. They have an almost glittery effect, without any actual glitter. I included some blurry/out of focus parts in the videos, that best shows the different colored sparkles that are visible in person. I get really good wear time with these. I apply them right on top of my usual eye primer, or on top of my eye primer and shadows. They are flaky, but they smooth out on the skin easily. I often apply right from the pot using my pinky finger or a silicone applicator. Sometimes I’ll instead put some on the back of my hand, smooth it out a bit, and then apply to my lids. I do sometimes get some fallout when applying, more so if I apply right from the pot, but it always dusts away with a fluffy brush. I’ve never had any issues with it sticking during application, or with additional fallout after application."
