George Santos has brought absolute chaos into U.S. politics in less than a month, which is truly the stuff of legends. But George is but a mortal mess of a man, and so the extremely foreseen consequences of his actions are already catching up with him. Santos, who is, as of last November, the first Republican to be elected to Congress as an openly gay man, came under fire shortly after the election for allegedly falsifying, uh, almost everything on his resume. Now, lawmakers from both the Democratic and Republican parties are calling for Santos to pack his bags, and not even because of those lies. On Tuesday, Democrats Ritchie Torres and Daniel Goldman announced that they had filed a complaint with the House Ethics Committee alleging Santos had also violated campaign finance laws in his financial disclosure reports.
