Love the cinematic, lynchian narrative tension that exists in Canadian photographer and filmmaker @sickcivilian’s series "Sky Limousine", a gritty collection of visual anecdotes from the underbelly of some unnamed cities. Some of these function on a "punctum" like level, calling into play the raw, instinctive attraction of immediacy, light and color. Other photographs cultivate more flair to their mystery, along with a curious sense of style, or rather contradicting fashion that we can't help but feel gravitate, in its distant vicinity, toward the magnetic work of Guy Bourdin.
