Still hard putting into words how it feels that we have won the 24h of Spa in class. The video definitely shows the emotions that ran through our body when the car crossed the finish line after 24 hours of fighting. This is a highly respected race by drivers in general, and everyone in this environment know the challenges a driver, team and car goes through in such race. We as the Iron Dames has been close to winning already a few races in 2022, lately stepping onto the podium in FIA WEC at Monza in second position, leading the race for 5 out of 6 hours. This was a race we thought was going to be our first victory, but it wasn’t. Something else was clearly waiting for us. Yes. I’m extremely superstitious and I think that everything happens for a reason. 24h of Spa was probably honestly speaking the last race I expected to win. When that has been said I know we as drivers always aim to win every race, since drivers are highly competitive people, but I’m also realistic and winning a race like Spa you need everything to be on your side. And okay. It was. The team did a flawless job during every single pit stop, our strategy was on point, each driver did no mistakes on the track and we all believed until the very last moment, minute and second that this could be our first win which it ended up being. We have unlocked something in each of us personally, and I know that this will not be our last win in the season. The week in Spa was special, and there is a lot of people to thank. First of all of course my team mates, Sarah, Rahel and Dori. Our crew of mechanics, engineers, team managers, physiotherapists, hospitality crew, photographers and video maker. The one who told me to believe in myself, smile, be happy and enjoy the moment. I enjoyed every single moment. Thank you. I’ll never forget that day. 31/07/22❤️
