You probably won’t believe it but I had ZERO artistic skills growing up. I was a logical person (fav subject was math) and I thought I could only make a living using my math degree (WRONG). I didn’t know you could do brows for a living until I had my own brows microbladed back in 2017. I became so interested in tattooing brows that in the following month, I took out what I had in my savings and hopped on a bus to Chicago to take my first microblading class. I had no idea that my hobby would turn into my full time career. I often think back to where I’d be if I didn’t take that leap of faith and invest in myself. How miserable would I be right now if I was just helping someone achieve their dreams while I kept mine on the back burner? Here are some things I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t dip my toes into PMU: - that I do indeed have a creative side - that I’m more passionate about helping others build confidence than helping multi-millionaire corporations make more money - that I would choose a healthy work-life balance over working overtime and losing precious time with my loved ones - that I could be my own boss and not need permission from anyone especially to take time off - THAT I DON’T NEED A DEGREE TO MAKE 6 FIGURES We are raised to think that you go to school and work your entire life away, and then possibly pass away before you even get to enjoy your money. I’m here to tell you that YOU are in charge of YOUR life. Don’t listen to the naysayers, they prob hate the cycle they’re in but they’re too scared to do anything different. Just know that if you don’t make any changes today, don’t expect there to be a change in a year, let alone 5 years from now. And if you’re waiting for the right moment to make a change, NOW is the time!
