wanna know my secrets? I HAVE NONE! here’s everything I’ve learned over the past year since starting to make reels: -Make sure you have an eye-catching visual in the first 2 seconds. People are scrolling through hundreds of posts, give them a reason to stop and watch your video! -Animate some text that starts within .5 seconds of the start of the video and lasts for 3 seconds. This will give your viewer enough time to read + keep them engaged for a minimum of 3 seconds! -Always use a trending audio with less around 5k-10k videos. Find them easily by looking for the ➚ arrow next to a song when you’re browsing reels! -Always include an instagram effect filter! (use one of mine if you want something subtle and made by me especially for aesthetic content. Also I selfishly just love seeing how you use them!) -Always use the most attention-grabbing clip of your reel as the thumbnail—NEVER post without setting a thumbnail. Remember, this accounts for the majority of taps on your reel after it’s been posted. -Use five niche hashtags (I usually do 4 hashtags with less than 100k uses and 1 popular one.) -Immediately leave three comments after posting (there’s no science to this, but I think it helps people engage with a post when they are there’s other comments left first!) -Finally, post what YOU want to see, not what you think others want to see.
