Michail Pirgelis‘ solo presentation at this year’s K60 in the Wilhelm Hallen, featuring an exclusive selection of recent and earlier works, is on view until tomorrow, September 18. The exhibition is highlighting the artist's profound understanding of sculpture.
"Collected Canter" (2018), presented in Hall C, mirrors Pirgelis' process of transforming culled material from the wreckage of discarded airplanes towards abstraction in the truest sense. Some of the smaller wall sculptures on display echo the effect of "Collected Canter" through their mirror surfaces, while others focus on painterly surfaces.
