I went to Glow Bar this morning for a facial and would love to tell y’all about this great experience. As soon as a I walked in, I was immediately greeted which I loved. The host then took me to the wash bar to prep my face. I then met my wonderful esthetician for this appointment. They have different treatments that work towards your specific problem areas like LED lights, masks, and extractions. I’m not going to lie, the extractions hurt a lot, but definitely worth it because my pores were cloggedddd. She made sure to check in with me throughout to ensure I was comfortable. My favorite were the hot towels and steam 😍. What was important to me about my esthetician is her understanding what it’s like to be a woman of color and dealing with hyperpigmentation, dark spots or even knowing the type of SPF we use. . . I have been leaning into prioritizing myself this year because I don’t typically do that. These days it’s all about work and trying to provide for everyone around you. So this was a nice way to get into that. . . What’s great about Glow Bar is that it’s affordable skin care at your convenience. They have offer a membership for $55 a month which includes a facial and discounts on their products. I’m truly grateful for this experience.
