5 main elements for a stable handstand 🖤 ✨ Visualisation – What do I want my body to do here? Can I see it in my mind first? ✨ Getting your hips up over your shoulders. Stacking is what creates the “sweet spot” so we can start trying to balance. ✨ Active base! Your base in a handstand is TINY. Make sure you’re feeling the connection of your base and the floor, and keep trying to find these little micro-negotiations for this delicate balance. It makes a tremendous difference. ✨ Thighs creating tension. Contracting your quads, engaging your glutes, and inner thighs, and pointing your toes. All this creates a sense of where you are in space, and that tension creates stability. ✨ The breath! The breath is key for focus and for optimal core function. Once my mind gets overactive in this pose I return to the breath.
