This is Tamara, a 90 year old woman from Ukraine. Tamara has lived through three wars in her home country. When our partner @worldjewishrelief met Tamara in Vorzel, outside of Kyiv, she had been hiding alone in a dark basement for a month, taking shelter whilst war raged outside. Tamara was kept alive by her neighbours, who brought her food and water. When Alexey from World Jewish Relief arrived at Tamara's door to let her know that Vorzel had been liberated, initially, she was reluctant and didn’t believe them. Since their first meeting, World Jewish Relief has been helping Tamara with essential, everyday items; such as fresh, nutritious food and a walking frame.
