All of this will vary based on what laser is used, how many passes, what settings your provider chooses,
their technique - there are so many variables here.
.
For me personally: I get 4 passes of Fraxel on the 1927 nm wavelength (my derm has dubbed this the “Mini Fraxel”) and it works beautifully for my sensitive, redness-prone skin. I have melasma and rosacea, so I need something effective but gentle.
.
The 1927 wavelength is great for superficial pigmentation and texture because it targets the skin at a more surface level, which makes it ideal for melasma, sun damage, and fine lines without as much deep downtime or chance of triggering pigment rebound.
.
Remember everyone’s skin is different! What works for me may not be right for you. Always talk to a board-certified derm or your trusted provider who can assess your skin type, your goals, your history…so important to be open an honest every step of the way! Regardless of what you choose to do this is a good standard guide to save! Xoxo
